Hello, Goodbye

It seems as if the last year of my life I've done nothing but say goodbyes. After all I've moved 6 times in the last year alone, never settling for more then a few months. I've worked 5 jobs last year not one of them fulfilled the ever present void in my life. New York City will always be a part of my soul, a place I can never truly leave behind. However the ups and downs led me to the decision to get out before I self destructed into another string of unsuccessful jobs and living arrangements.

So Jake and I dreamed and planned for months and last week we packed our bags, said tearful goodbyes to our families and the few friends I've kept close and hopped a plane ride to Charleston, South Carolina. Never in my wildest dreams would I ever think that I'd end up here but now that I am, I can't imagine being anywhere else.

Life will always be hard but the slower pace of life and the mass amount of kindness of strangers here, I'm hoping that Charleston will fill the hole in my heart that New York City never could.

Here are a few photos from our first week in Charleston, this city has done nothing but warm my soul with happiness from the moment we landed. I feel so lucky to call this city my home.
